InnerScience Research Fund is funding the analysis of data collected at Dr. Joe Dispenza’s meditation retreats. This research is being conducted by an independent team of scientists from UC San Diego, who are working to uncover how meditation affects the body and mind..

In 2023, InnerScience committed $10 million over five years to support this effort. That same year, we celebrated the publication of our first research paper, completed production of our first documentary, SOURCE – It’s Within You, and deepened our commitment to bringing this science to the world.

In 2024, we provided UC San Diego with a second installment of $2 million, launched the SOURCE documentary, and approved new research funding for three additional esteemed institutions also studying the effects of meditation on human health – click HERE to read more!

So far in 2025, we have given UC San Diego $4.4 million, which included a supplemental $2.4 million, made possible through the generosity of our donor community.  We made SOURCE – It’s Within You accessible to people around the world on multiple platforms, and saw the publication of the second research paper. There are more studies in various stages of research and publication, so we invite you to stay tuned! 

We also continue to fund additional research organizations that are aligned with the same vision of researching the effects of meditation on human potential. Every donation is a catalyst for progress – advancing research, increasing awareness and understanding, and providing evidence that transformation and healing start within.

InnerScience Research Fund is a nonprofit organization established in January 2022 to advance scientific understanding of the biological and physiological effects of meditation on the human body.
